The Black Cock Inn is an historic country pub situated half way up Caerphilly Mountain and is a very popular traditional family inn. Come and visit us and discover our old fashioned values of good service and Welsh hospitality. Our relaxing atmosphere provides an ideal venue to enjoy one of our meals and once you've visited us for the first time we'll sure you'll soon be back again.

The Black Cock Inn has a reputation for its excellent food served in scenic surroundings and caters for a wide variety of tastes, including vegetarians. Our delicious home made dishes are freshly created on the premises and whether you have come for a business, family or celebration meal, you will find our wide menu has something for everyone. As well as the four welcoming bar areas, in the summer months our visitors can relax and enjoy the countryside in our outdoor beer gardens, one of which also caters for children.

Apart from an excellent menu, the Black Cock Inn keeps a wide range of affordable real ales, beers, wines and spirits. A warm welcome is extended to families and Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available locally to complement this traditional country pub set in a picturesque part of the United Kingdom.

The Black Cock Inn is around 1 mile above the historic town of Caerphilly and a detailed map can be obtained by pressing the map choice to the right of the picture above. Simple Directions are as follows:

- From Caerphilly - Take the A469 Cardiff up on to Caerphilly Mountain and turn right on the top opposite the snack bar. Follow this road and turn first left part way down the hill. The Black Cock Inn is on your left in less than a mile.

- From Cardiff - Follow the A469 out of Cardiff towards Caerphilly and at the top of the hill turn left at the snack bar. Follow this road and turn first left part way down the hill. The Black Cock Inn is on your left in less than a mile.

- Turn off from Treforest/Merthyr A470 Dual carriageway - Follow dual carriageway up the hill towards Caerphilly past Nantgarw engine works. At the top of hill turn right on to mountain road and take first right into Blackbrook Road. Follow this road up the hill to the top and the Black Cock Inn is opposite the T-junction.

So come and experience for yourself our friendly and traditional establishment. We look forward to welcoming you and are open all week between 12 noon and 11.00 p.m. Our restaurant hours are from 12 noon daily with last food orders at 9.30 p.m. on Monday to Saturday and 8.30 p.m. on Sunday.
